The game will bring together two ex Leeds favourites in Gus Poyet and Casper Ankergren. Poyet was seen by the majority of Leeds fans as the brains behind Leeds initial storming of League One in "that" 15 points season emphasised by the drop off in form after his departure to Spurs at the end of October 2007 leaving the poison dwarf, Mr Wise, in sole charge. His success at Brighton is based on an attractive passing style that has won him many admirers, including a number in West Yorkshire. Hopefully the shock of losing two games on the bounce after such a good start to the season will dent their confidence enough for Leeds to take advantage tonight.
Casper Ankergren is certain to get a warm reception from the Leeds travelling support. His heroics in the Play Off final against Donny and on the 3rd Jan 2009 have cemented his place in Leeds hearts for years to come. Add to that the fact that we know his dislike for crosses coming into his box and we have the start of a game plan to add a third straight defeat for the Seagulls. Leeds themselves will have to get their annihiliation at the hands of Manure out of their system if they are to notch up their first away win of their league season. So a day off work and an overnight stay in Brighton required for this one. Danny Pugh has been drafted in from Stoke City's waste bin to strengthen our squad. Can the skills of Clayton inspire Leeds to a win? Will Becchio terrorise Casper? Can we break a habit of a lifetime and keep a clean sheet or score from a corner? Will Snoddy finally kick start his season with a scintilating display? All will be revealed tonight. Guess what? Despite the strange kick off time.........................
Can't wait!
